Get Excited, Voice Fans! Season 28 and 29 Are Coming!
Get ready, music lovers! Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire, Michael Bublé, and Niall Horan are gearing up to take their spots as celebrity coaches for Season 28 of NBC’s The Voice. Things are heating up as the show prepares for its big return.
The new season, airing from September to December 2025, starts with Blind Auditions filmed at the show’s famous Universal City soundstage in California. But while everyone’s buzzing about Season 28, a sneaky clue just dropped about something even bigger: Season 29 is already in the works!

🎟️ Season 29 Blind Auditions Quietly Announced
In a surprise move, NBC’s ticketing partner, 1iota, posted audience tickets for Season 29 Blind Auditions—even though the network hasn’t officially announced the next season yet.
According to a June 23 update, The Voice will film Season 29 at the same Universal City location on:
- July 21, 2025 (10:45 a.m. & 4:00 p.m.)
- July 22, 2025 (10:30 a.m. & 3:45 p.m.)
- July 23, 2025 (10:30 a.m. & 3:45 p.m.)
No word yet on who the coaches will be, but the ticket announcement got fans excited with this teaser:
“Music fans, get ready: The Voice is back for Season 29! The show’s best singers from across the country will compete in the newest season.”
This isn’t the first time NBC has done this. Lately, they’ve been filming two seasons back-to-back to save time, cut costs, and keep the show’s energy going strong.

📅 What the Filming Schedule Tells Us
Former coach John Legend, who finished his 10th season earlier this year, spilled some tea about how things work now. “These days, we tape two seasons in the summer and early fall,” he told Kelly Clarkson on her talk show in February 2025. “So even when you’re not on the show, you’re not really gone for long.”
For Season 28, the coaches will film Blind Auditions over four straight days—July 6, 7, 8, and 9—with two tapings each day. Season 29, though, has a slightly shorter schedule, with just three days of filming. Could this mean a new coach lineup or a fun twist in the show’s format? We’ll have to wait and see!

🎙️ A Long Journey for Contestants
While filming might be quick for the coaches and crew, contestants have a much longer road to the spotlight. Season 27 runner-up Jaelen Johnston shared what it’s like. The 22-year-old from Derby, Kansas, said his journey started almost two years ago. He went to an open audition in September 2023, had 15 Zoom interviews, and finally flew to L.A. for tapings in July 2024.
Jaelen got three chair turns from coaches Kelsea Ballerini, Adam Levine, and Michael Bublé, and he picked Ballerini as his coach. But even after all that, he had to keep it a secret until Season 27 aired in February 2025!

🔥 What’s Next for The Voice?
With Snoop Dogg, Reba, Bublé, and Niall Horan ready to roll for Season 28, fans are expecting one of the most fun seasons yet. And with Season 29 tapings already on the calendar, it’s clear The Voice isn’t going anywhere.
While we’re still waiting to hear who’ll be spinning those famous chairs for Season 29, one thing’s for sure: NBC is keeping the music, drama, and talent coming strong. Stay tuned for more updates!
